Who are we?

Prairie Adjusters Ltd is an independent, multi-line claims adjusting firm serving the property and casualty insurance industry. We provide valuable claims adjusting services to Insurance Companies, Third Party Administrators and Self-Insured customers. Prairie Adjusters Ltd. has assisted in addressing assignments including, but not limited to, auto appraisals, property estimates, complex casualty claims and catastrophic events of all classifications and venues.

We strive for exemplary customer service and outstanding quality therefore we provide 24-hour 7 days a week claims service. Our internal goal for each claim assignment is for the insured to be contacted within 30 minutes of assignment and attendance within 12 hours or at the insureds first availability. With the concurrence of exemplary customer service and fundamental principles of claims investigation we accomplish amicable results resolving issues.

To expedite the claims process our firm utilizes Xactimate software to ensure fair, market area pricing in settling losses. This tool levels the field for estimates of emergency and rebuild quotes and keeps expenses to a minimum while ensuring fair pricing for contractors and optimum results for your insured who have suffered the loss.

We are HAAG Certified for residential and commercial roof inspection providing insurers with the expertise to handle major hail and wind events. To ensure safe and through roof inspections and avoid hazardous conditions we gain access to problematic sites through a new technology option that provides an innovative solution. Unmanned Arial Vehicles (UAVs), more commonly known as drones, can be used to obtain photographs or video of the potentially hazardous site. Drones can be remotely piloted, eliminating risks of personal safety but obtaining detailed photographs or video of most damaged areas. Estimates for repairs can be easily deduced based on the information collected.

Our Team

Keith Edwards

Owner/Founder/CEO/Senior Adjuster

After a three decade career in the residential and commercial construction industry, Keith was invited by a large Independent Adjusting firm to assist in addressing Insurance Claims in the wake of Hurricane Ike in 2008. After completion of this assignment, Keith accepted an offer to move to Canada from a Canadian Independent Adjusting firm. Keith and his family moved to Flin Flon, Manitoba and after six years of all lines adjusting in Northern Canada, moved to the Saskatoon area. Upon completing and receiving the Chartered Insurance Professional designation, Keith opened his own adjusting firm. Keith and his family enjoy the Canadian outdoors including camping, fishing and hunting. While it took a bit of adjusting to the weather, the Edwards family consider Canada home.

Sherry Edwards

Owner/Co-Founder/COO

After 20 years in the customer service division of a large telecommunications company, and banking industry Sherry supported Keith’s adventure to Northern Manitoba Canada, Flin Flon. While Keith built his career in adjusting, Sherry took on an office management position with the local Chiropractic Office. Upon their move to Saskatoon, Saskatchewan she accepted a position of Insurance Underwriting Associate/Customer Service Associate with a local Life Insurance Brokerage. As Prairie Adjusters Ltd evolved to an all lines adjusting company Sherry handles the day to day detailed report processing for adjusters, and bookkeeping.

Rhonda McDonald

Adjuster

Rhonda has lived in Thompson for over 30 years.  She spent over 20 years in the mining industry before starting a new career. Rhonda brings an exceptional work ethic and strong computer and customer service skills to her career in claims adjusting.

Rhonda served on many community-based committees including Relay for Life, and the Thompson Fire Fighters Association.

As the mother of two grown children who also still reside in Thompson, she was an active part of their sports while her children were growing including Hockey, Lacrosse, Ringette and track & field, either coaching or serving on the boards.
Rhonda is an avid outdoorswoman who enjoys spending time hiking, canoeing, and fishing.

Rhonda Joined Prairie Adjusters Ltd. As a Level One Adjuster in January 2021 and is currently working toward her CIP Accreditation.

Justin Drummelsmith

Justin has lived in Flin Flon for over 15 years. He spent over 20 years in the Retail industry before starting a new career. Justin brings an exceptional work ethic and strong computer and customer service skills to his career in claims adjusting.

Justin has been involved in Flin Flon Community on different organizations such as; Main Street Days, Trout Festival, Flin Flon Pride, Main Street Revitalization, Flin Flon Friendship Center, Flin Flon School Division, and the Community Day Cares.

Justin is an avid outdoorsman who enjoys spending time hiking, canoeing, camping, ATVing. Loves to travel the world currently holding 14 countries as places he has been to, with over 300 cities across the globe.

Justin joined Prairie Adjusters Ltd. as a Level One Adjuster in August 2021 and is currently working toward his CIP Accreditation.

Aaron Schamehorn

Adjuster

After graduating in 2003, Aaron began working in the technical education and skills training sector. Carpentry has been his passion for the past 17 years as he built his zeal for construction work. His business as a residential and commercial construction owner only grew from there. Adding to his knowledge, he completed training in the insurance emergency and rebuild industry obtaining his Water, Fire and Smoke, and Odor Control Certifications.

Having this experience and knowledge will help him in his career as an insurance adjuster as he moves forward to gain his CIP (Chartered Insurance Professional).

Aaron, with his wife and 2 children currently reside in Saskatoon but have a desire to move to the country. As a young family they enjoy the outdoors with camping, hunting, and fishing in the beautiful prairies.

Aaron joined the Prairie Adjuster’s team as a Level One Adjuster in January of 2022.

Manu Ebenezer

Administrative Assistant/Adjuster Trainee

A versatile Professional with a multifaceted career profile. Manu chaired the position as Civil engineer and projects in charge for 3 years on contract from 2015 to 2018 in India, during this period, also found his passion to work among college and school students, working with different organizations such as E Education, Ability Aids, helping them with career and personality development as well as life skills through various training programs such as motivational talks, leadership training and public awareness programs.

His Career pursuit brought him to Canada in 2019, where he pursued Post Graduation in Environmental engineering. During his two years of university education, Manu worked as the Asset Protection associate with Walmart and later relocated to Saskatchewan in September 2020 where Manu contributed his skills and workmanship to a construction company as its projects design and management personnel. 2021 opened a new opportunity for Manu to plunge into the world of insurance and its limitless career opportunities with Catastrophe Response Unit as a Level 2 Certified Damage inspector.

December 2021 Manu shook hands with Prairie Adjusters and will soon achieve his level 1 certified Insurance Adjuster License, chasing his dreams and ambitions with passion and determination, just like every human being who calls Canada – “Home”.

Stanley Knight

Adjuster

Stanley Knight is a former member of the R.C.M.P. with 13 yrs. service. Stan did all his service in Manitoba with stints in Swan River, The Pas, Thompson, Norway House and several isolated reserves in the North. During this time, Stan was trained in Forensic photography, evidence gathering, report writing, testifying in Criminal and Civil matters as well as interpreting and applying all manner of laws, from Local By-laws to Criminal Code.

Stan later took a position with a large Building Supply store where he was primarily responsible for large renovations, new residential and commercial construction projects. Stan worked in this capacity for 10 yrs. During that time, Stan was trained in residential and commercial construction estimating and building. The work varied from small bathroom renovations to million-dollar homes and large commercial projects.
Stan currently resides in Brandon, MB with his wife of 32 years and their two daughters. Stan’s primary interests are fishing, hunting and carpentry.

Stan joined Prairie Adjusters Ltd. as a Level One Adjuster in April 2017 and is currently working toward his CIP accreditation.
